Gradually reduce the temperature and time of ice dives. Start at around 15 °C to gradually get your body used to the cold. Consult a doctor before you start and listen to your body.
Cold water therapy is most effective when the right combination of time and temperature is used. For example, if you are in water at 10 °C, it is recommended that you stay in it for no more than 10 minutes.
Examples of the relationship between temperature and time:
1°C = 1min ice plunge
3°C = 3min ice plunge
5°C = 5min ice plunge
10°C = 10min ice plunge
When not in use, always keep the tub covered with a thermal cover and a mat. We recommend changing the water once a week without additives (or every 4 uses).
Once the water has been emptied from the tub, we recommend that you wash the inside surfaces with warm soapy water to prolong the life until the next refill.
Our bathtub consists of 5 thermally insulated layers of TPE, a thermal cover and a rain cover to prolong the cold water time at a certain temperature.
We recommend that you place the tub outside in the shade to maximise the passive night cooling effect, then add ice or ice cubes as needed.
Of course, in this case we recommend adding ice.
Epsom salt is a naturally occurring mineral compound of magnesium and sulphate and is safe to add to an ice bath, while chloride salts (e.g. table salt) are not recommended.
The use of salt is not recommended only for adding to the LOBO Aqua Premium ice bath if you use a refrigerator.
Yes, you can! If you want your water to last longer, extend the use time by up to 1 month using bromine tablets or powder.
Bromine is kinder to the skin and lasts longer in cold water than chlorine, and you will need very little of it to be effective.
We have designed our bath to suit all people up to 210cm tall.
